Fallacies: Divide into formal and informal fallacies. For each fallacy, include:
- Definition
- Example
- Why it's a fallacy
- Real-life instances or case studies
Cognitive Biases: Understanding these will help in recognizing when our thinking might be skewed:
- Confirmation Bias
- Availability Heuristic
- Anchoring Bias, etc.
Argumentation:
- Toulmin Model: A method for analyzing arguments (Claim, Grounds, Warrant, Backing, Qualifier, Rebuttal).
- Logical Structure: Premises, inferences, conclusions.
Critical Thinking Skills:
- Analysis: Breaking down complex information.
- Evaluation: Judging the credibility of sources or the quality of arguments.
- Inference: Drawing conclusions based on the information available.
- Explanation: Being able to communicate your reasoning clearly.
