Apologetics (Greek: ἀπολογία, apologia — “a defense spoken”; pronounced ah-po-lo-GEE-ah).

It is not an apology for being wrong. It is an answer given when the hope is asked for.

“always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you” — 1 Peter 3:15

First hearers of Peter heard a courtroom word: apologia. A case laid out. Meekness and fear are in the same sentence. Volume is not the method.

On this site apologetics is the public defense: claims tested, words kept on the same object, the Cornerstone named without covering a leak. Logic checks whether the defense follows. It does not replace the hope being defended.
